As noted in the picture, this weekend Seward Co-op is matching all donations!

Seward Co-op, along with 10 other Twin Cities Natural Food’s Coops, will be participating in Minnesota Foodshare’s March food drive. The drive runs from March 1 through March 31 and is the largest food drive in the state.

This is a state-wide effort involving thousands of companies, congregations, schools and civic groups will also be participating in the drive, all with the shared goal to replenish the more than 260 food shelves across Minnesota.

Seward Co-op has pledged to raise 25,000 dollars or pounds of food for our local food shelf, Brian Coyle (located in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood at 420 15th Ave. S).

Here’s how you can donate:

  1. Containers will be located beyond the front end in the location where we currently collect food. Additional collection receptacles may be added throughout the drive. Look for the signs!
  2. Customers will have the option to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at the registers.
