Opportunity for Seward Youth! Sibley Bike Depot – Summer Apprenticeship Application

Hey everybody,

New this year, Sibley Bike Depot is implementing an Apprentice Mechanic program, where six youth will get paid for eight weeks from June 20-August 12 to learn bike mechanics, work at a community bike non-profit, and help co-teach bike maintenance classes for youth and adults.  Help us by encouraging young people aged 14-21 to apply to work as Apprentice Mechanics this summer!

The application is attached.  Please note: Applicants must also apply through the St. Paul Youth Job Corps programavailable online at www.stpaul.gov/youthjobcorps.  In the Youth Job Corps application, youth must enter “Sibley Bike Depot” in response to question #17.  Applications can be emailed to Jason@sibleybikedepot.org or mailed to Sibley Bike Depot, c/o Jason Tanzman, 712 University Avenue West, St. Paul MN 55104.  Preference is given to applications submitted by April 1!

If youth are interested in applying but are not eligible through St. Paul Youth Job Corps, please have them fill out and return an application anyways.

Anyone interested in applying is encouraged to stop into Sibley Bike Depot when we’re open to the public – Monday 4-8, Wednesday 4-8, and Saturday 12-5.

Thanks for spreading the word about this new program!
