Seward Neighborhood’s test of 2-sort recycling increases recycling rates
The Seward neighborhood is participating in one of three very important
recycling test projects to improve the City’s recycling program. About 700
homes in Seward are part of the test 2-sort recycling pilot program and the
Seward Neighborhood Group has taken an active role in community outreach.
Preliminary numbers indicate the pilot area has experienced a 30% increase
in the amount of recycling collected compared to totals before the project
started on March 29, 2011. To see a KARE-11 segment on the pilot recycling
program, go to: http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=950155
