Community Building Committee
Tuesday, Jan. 17
Home of Diann Anders, 2418 30th Ave. S.
From the latest print edition of the Seward Profile:
Are you interested in getting to know more about the diverse and exciting mix of people that is the Seward Neighborhood? Or learning about numerous rich cultural traditions of Seward residents? Do you have a passion for building strong relationships that serve us well when we need to deal with difficult problems in urban living? Or creating celebrations, festivals or other activities that encourage laughter and fellowship?
Then join us tomorrow evening (Tuesday, January 17) at 7 p.m. at the home of Diann Anders, 2418 30th Ave. S.
The SNG is exploring this new committee idea. The group would take over the work of planning for some of the SNG's yearly activities, such as Garage Sales Days or King's Fair, as well as developing new and exciting ways to strengthen the social fabric of Seward. The hope is that a structure can be devised that will offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for people who understand and enjoy traditional committee work as well as for those post-moderns who want to find short-term, concrete places to lend a hand.
