Redesign is hiring a Project Assistant for Seward Civic & Commerce Association

Job Description

 

Position Title:             Project Assistant, Business Association

 

Position Reports to:              SCCA Program Manager/Associate Director

 

Primary Functions:

The Project Assistant (PA) works with a team consisting of the Redesign Associate Director, SCCA Program Manager, and interns to assist with the implementation of programs and projects for the Seward Civic and Commerce Association (SCCA).   The PA is responsible for planning and executing projects, specifically organizing and implementing monthly membership meetings, and writing, designing and publishing the monthly membership newsletter in a professional and timely manner.  The PA also is responsible for monitoring the SCCA website and social media accounts. PA will assist with planning and execution of  the Franklin Frolic, a retail event to encourage exposure to the Seward business district in December 2011.  In addition, the PA is also responsible for building and maintaining constructive relationships with neighborhood residents, businesses and community organizations, and Redesign board and committee members. Presenters include Lucy Gerold, commander of the 3rd precinct of Minneapolis, and Shun Tillman, Crime Prevention Specialist for the 4th sector of Minneapolis’s 3rd precinct.
